FOR to make 'a' þyn lace bordred on boþe sydes: Þ^u most take a ffelow and set hym on þy ryȝt hond, and set on hys hondes iij bowes of o colour, one in B ryȝt and one A lyft and one in B lyft, and set on þyn hondes v bowes of another colour, as ys yn þe rounde lace. And þen schal þy felow take by þ^e A ryȝt þorowout B and of þ^t same hond þ^e bowe B of þe lyft honde vnreuercyd. Þen lowe þy bowe of A ryȝt vnto B ryȝt, and so abyde vnto þe tyme ȝe haue changed twyes. And þen schalt þ^u take w^t A ryȝt þorowout B and C of þ^e same hond þe bowe C of þe lyft hond vnreuercyd. Þen lowe þy lyft bowes. Þan schal A lyft take þorowout B of þe sam hand þ^e bowe C of þ^e ryȝt hond reuerced donward.
